The Seresco NI Series unit has is engineered specifically for cool conditions and have a hot gas defrost mode actuated from a demand defrost controller. The demand defrost control shall verify every 45 minutes (adjustable) if ice is present on the evaporator. If there is ice formation, it will actuate a defrost cycle until the evaporator is ice free.
The cabinet casing is made of high quality prepainted white galvanized G90 galvanized steel and the drain pans are made of insulated heavy gauge stainless steel with 1 1/4 FPT connection.
Heavy duty scroll compressors with internal motor protection, centrifugal oil pump for long trouble free operation. All compressors will be supplied with a crankcase heater to prevent refrigerant migration.
The piping of all units includes receiver, suction accumulator with boil-out coil, thermostatic expansion valve, liquid drier, sight glass, liquid solenoid valve three way valves and check valve for hot gas defrost. All the piping is made out of copper tube, brazed connections and has an operating charge of R-404a.
Our receiver is sized to hold the whole refrigerant charge for easy service of the unit. Rotalock valves are supplied at outlet, to isolate the refrigerant charge. All units to operate on a pump down cycle for a liquid free starting of the compressor and to minimize refrigerant migration.
Evaporator and condenser coils are made of smooth copper tube mechanically expanded into self spacing aluminum plate fin for permanent bond and maximum heat transfer. All evaporator coils are leak tested at 300 psig and condenser at 400 psig.
The fans used on these units are forward curved statically and dynamically balanced centrifugal blower with ball bearings. Each blower is coupled with an electric motor with adjustable pulley on the motor. Motors are 2 horse power open drip proof with permanently lubricated ball bearing. Overload relays are provided for 3 phase protection.
Controls are located in an accessible control panel. Control panel includes compressor contactor, motor starter, high and low pressure switch and mounted humidistat. External pilot colored lights (blue, green and yellow) are supplied for a quick assessment of what stage the unit is working.
