Plenum Fans

Plenum fans are designed specifically for application in pressurized plenums such as the Seresco dehumidifiers. The un-housed design with backward inclined airfoil blades provides a quiet and energy efficient operation. These fans allow for a close-coupled auxiliary air heater to be connected to our unit. With plenum fans, a steady and well distributed airflow is reached at the outlet of the plenum as opposed to forward curved fans where extra ductwork space is required before a heater can be put into place.

Un-housed plenum fans are also compact in overall size. Using this type of fan results in reduced overall size and weight of the dehumidifier cabinet, which allows Seresco engineers more design flexibility. One such capability is the orientation for the supply and return air for the dehumidifier, which can vary greatly with use of a plenum fan.
